Preschool Storytime

A world of imagination, stories, songs, and play awaits your little ones at Preschool Storytime!

Two librarians, both wearing colourful costumes and wigs, are reading stories to a group of young children and their families, all similarly wearing bright costumes and hats.

Our Preschool Storytimes are much more than just stories – they are highly interactive sessions including storytelling, songs, rhymes, games, and play. Our storytellers often love to theme their sessions around particular ideas or times of year, so every session feels fun, fresh and different! This programme is perfect for tamariki aged 2 - 5 years and their whānau.

Our regular schedule is presented below, but you can always check our event calendar for the most up-to-date times and locations.

We also love to visit kindies and early childcare centres with our Preschool Storytime programme. Contact the Children's Librarian if you would like to explore this as an option for your centre.
