All our libraries will be closed on Monday 20 January for Wellington Anniversary Day. Our eLibrary resources, eg Libby, will continue to be available.

LinkedIn Learning outage

There is a NZ wide outage with access to LinkedIn Learning. We've reported the issue to our vendor and hope to have it resolved soon.

School Holiday Programmes

Our libraries offer a variety of events and activities for tamariki and rangatahi during the school holidays. Find out what's on at your library these holidays!

Every school holidays, we put together a programme of fun and free events and activities for tamariki, rangatahi and their whānau, ranging from special storytimes and craft sessions up to puppetry performances, author visits, robotics sessions, and more.

Summer Reading Adventure

Over the summer holidays we don't host a programme of in-library events, instead we invite you to join us on an adventure!

The Summer Reading Adventure is an adventure that will take you from the safety and comfort of your bedroom to locations around the city, into your back yard, down to the local library, into the pages of more than a few books, and back home again in time for tea. Along the way, you'll be reading books, creating reviews, and earning prizes.
