Kia ora, Canada: Letters to Huron County Library
It's winter in Aotearoa but it's summer in Canada and we're joining in with their summer holidays with some letters to the children of Huron County Library!

Have you ever wondered what it's like to live in Canada?
Is there anything cool or interesting about living in Wellington that you think tamariki on the other side of the world should know?
If you've answered yes to these questions, and you're aged 0-12, then we've got just the opportunity for you!
Take part in Kia ora, Canada, our latest letter-writing campaign, paired with the lovely folks of Huron County Library in Ontario, Canada.
Each of our 12 libraries has been paired with one of Huron County's 12 libraries and will be exchanging letters with them.
When you next visit your library we encourage you to write a sentence or two or draw a picture that you would like to share with another child in Huron County, Canada.
Submission boxes will be in our libraries from Monday 23 June – Sunday 6 July.
After that we'll compile all your letters and drawings together and send each letter on its journey all the way to Huron County. Children attending the Huron County Library summer holiday programme will write back to each of our libraries and we'll display them in our libraries for everyone who took part to read.
Drop in for a visit and write or draw something to send all the way to Ontario or download the templates here and drop them off in the submission box at your local library!
