New Vinyl Carry Bags

By Mark

Introducing our new carry bags for our vinyl collection!

We have been working for some time on a new design to replace our existing vinyl satchels. The satchels were a great throwback to our original vinyl collection when we relaunched this service back in 2018, replicating the original design from the 1980s. However, modern vinyl has become heavier, with larger, more deluxe packaging and these cardboard satchels now struggle to hold multiple records securely.

We are pleased to now launch a new carry bag for the users of our vinyl collection - a branded jute carry bag that comes with a tag attached, featuring information on our record lending service. They are currently available at the sites where we have vinyl collections (Te Awe, Johnsonville | Waitohi, Karori & Newtown libraries). There is no charge for these bags. While designed for vinyl, we welcome their use by families for multiple different library items, so if you can return them that would be great!
