New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults 2024: YA Finalists!
Books. We like 'em. And people keep writing them and being nominated for awards which we think is pretty exciting, particularly when they're NZ books!
As happens every year, right now we're very excited about the shortlist for the New Zealand Book Awards for Children and Young Adults which was just announced last week! So we're going to write about the shortlisted books to get you excited too.

Books! Books! Books!
Because here where we write for you Youth we only care about the YA titles in the list, we haven't included any of the books in the other categories for children. I mean, why should we? BUT if you want to look through the rest of the wonderful shortlisted books of 2024 (ok, I may be contradicting myself here, yes we sometimes care about books for children) you should check out our post over on the Kids' Blog (where they do care about children).
